Teknotribe, previously known as Underground Sound, was founded in 1999. Over the years we have emerged and grown into a faction involving the top techno producers and DJ's in South Africa; which consequently followed the birth of Teknotribe in 2003.
Teknotribe has been the sturdy foundation of the techno community in South Africa since its inception, and has also become the undisputed leader in South African techno! This fast growth and dedication to keeping the South African techno scene alive has resulted in Teknotribe attaining a great deal of respect from underground DJ's and well known names throughout the dance scene. This respect has been earned through a combination of hard work, commitment and determination mixed with an obsessive love of intelligent hard dance music combined with a real enthusiasm for the underground scene.
Teknotribe never disappoint when it comes to delivering surreal party experiences. The Teknotribe DJ's and producers are Nick Grater, Seb Otage, Dre’Ama (Aka Tank Girl), Digital Dream, Andre Frauenstein, Chris Palmer, Killer B and Glen Gaffer with special guests appearing at almost every party. Their high energy styles and sets range from minimal- tech-tribal- groovy- hard- techno beats to progressive, hypnotic, mind bending Psy Trance which will have you glued to the dance floor and gasping for more. Undoubtedly, a Teknotribe party is the best place for electronic music in South Africa!
Techno VS Trance: Teknotribe takes pride in offering only the best in the new evolution of intelligent electronic dance music! We have broadened our horizons to collaborate with psychedelic trance productions such as Timecode, Mushroom Mafia, Red Eye Productions, Dragonfly, Fu Cha Gatherings and Alien Safari. These parties have proved highly successful and have become one of the best underground parties where there is a musical battle between Techno and Psy Trance on the same Dance floor. |
